What is Anger and Anger Management
What is anger? As google puts it a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. Its a pretty basic word that anyone knows and feels. Now what is Anger Management, its most likely what you guess, controlling your anger. Or as google puts it Anger management is the process of learning to recognize signs that you're becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a productive way.
Have Anger problems? Try these easy methods. Breathe deeply, from your diaphragm; breathing from your chest won't relax you. Picture your breath coming up from your "gut." Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as "relax," "take it easy." Repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply. Use imagery; visualize a relaxing experience, from either your memory or your imagination. These Methods should calm you down. |
Now there are two different kinds anger, angry and very angry. Usually angry goes away but very angry does not and that's where anger management comes. Usually those steps take away the angriness but if anger becomes severe that's when you or your friend must go to counselling as there are people who get very angry. Those people need help from professionals who can help anger. Personally if I were in a angry situation I would either count 10 to 1 while breathing calmly or make a joke out of the ordeal which usually helps. |
